▶︎ How to Upload a Case
Log in to the Self-Serve portal using this link: https://us.digitalowl.app/.
To upload a case, press the "Submit Case" icon in the left-hand sidebar.
Then select a Business Line from the drop-down list and enter the name of your case. Choose a name that's descriptive and clear, so you can easily find it in your case list using the search functionality.

Next, enter a Date of Loss. In the summary, we'll use this date to organize any impairments, conditions, or events in the records that existed prior to, or started after, the Date of Loss.

On the right side of your screen, drag or select the files you'd like to upload for your case. Each case can include multiple files, and we support PDF, TIFF, PNG, and JPEG file types.
When you're finished adding your files, press the "Submit Case" button to start the upload process.
NOTE
Leave the page or tab open until the upload is complete.
▶︎ How to Add Additional Files to your Existing Case
From your portal, click the "Homepage" icon in the left-hand sidebar.
Find the case you'd like to add files to. Then go to the "Actions" column on the far right, and click the three vertical dots.
From the pop-up window, click "Add Additional Files."

When you are finished uploading any additional documents, click the "Upload And Process" button. Once the "Upload Completed Successfully" message appears, you can close the pop-up window.
Refresh your cases using the circular right-arrow button. The case "Status" will change from "In Progress" to "Completed" when it is finished. Your new summary will contain all of the newly added files.

▶︎ How to Download Case Notes
From the platform, select "Case Notes" in the left-hand sidebar. On the far right, click the "Download" icon. You can export each individual tab as a PDF or DOCX file, or export all tabs for the complete summary.
- PDF: Will contain links to all source pages in your case.
- DOCX: Will not include links or source pages.

After exporting, you will need to wait 5-10 seconds for the file to finish downloading.
In Google Chrome, a pop-up window will appear in the top-right corner, confirming the download is complete. Click the PDF file in the pop-up window to open it, or find it in the "Downloads" folder on your computer.
The name of the PDF file will be the Case Name you entered when you uploaded the files for your case.

NOTE
By default, Google Chrome is set to download files to the "Downloads" folder on your computer. Any custom web browser settings may impact this. To locate the PDF file on your computer, search for the Case Name you entered when you uploaded the files for your case.
