Types of Data Points in the Summary
DigitalOwl's proprietary Natural Language Processing (NLP) engine and data enrichment technology transform scanned medical records (e.g., APSs, EHRs, lab results) into concise, categorized and meaningful summaries.
DigitalOwl’s summary serves as an essential tool for underwriters, claim adjusters, and lawyers, enhancing their toolbox. It streamlines their workflow by eliminating time-consuming and repetitive tasks.
The DigitalOwl summary provides a detailed and chronological overview of the patient's medical history, featuring the following data points, among others:
- Medical conditions, diseases, infections, syndromes, mental/emotional conditions
- Medical procedures, surgeries, imaging, screenings, scans and examinations
- Medications
- Visit dates, admission dates, release dates, accident dates
- Providers’ names
- Lab results
- Key health indicators such as BMI, blood pressure, heart rate, etc.
- Vaccinations
- Social history such as smoking, alcohol or drug abuse
- Personal information such as gender and age
- Negated conditions
Date and Provider Association
Each data point is associated with a date and provider. Some data points will be flagged as “History of”, indicating that the extraction was mentioned in the context of past conditions/procedures.
